Each row in these databases is an event that LaserSETI detected above the noise threshold. For historical reasons, analyzed (or 'reduced') LaserSETI data was split across databases. All new data is flowing into LaserSyn.

Pipeline Stats by Instrument/Camera

LaserSETI analyzes its observations in real time and puts the result into one file per night. The table shows the status of processing those files and high-level statistics derived from them. C4 is the highest level candidate that a single camera (half an instrument) can find, which is a pair of dots which match the spacing of the transmission grating and are comparable in size and shape.

TDI images are either 10 seconds worth of reading out the CCD in TDI mode or a section of that where a some level of candidate was found. This is the 'unreduced' data that LaserSETI analyzes, but we gather it and re-analyze it for various purposes.
